Julia joined Diamond & Associates in March 2003 and brings 8 years of prior experience in community and affordable housing development to the firm. Most recently, she served in real estate related capacities for Universal Companies, the Office of Community Housing for the University of Pennsylvania, and The Partnership CDC of West Philadelphia.
Julia served as the Project Manager for 16th and Federal, an $8 million, 53 unit, new construction and rehabilitation Low Income Tax Credit financed development for Universal Companies. It was completed in December 2001. Her recent work for D&A clients includes closing two HUD 202 and one HUD 811 project; 3 successful tax credit applications totaling $22 million in awards; ongoing economic development work in Darby PA to bring an educational facility, recreational trails and a supermarket to the town.
Julia earned an MS in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Fine Arts, and a BA from Barnard College. She currently resides in Philadelphia, PA, but has also lived in Cambridge MA, New York City and Minneapolis MN. Julia enjoys eating chocolate, working out, bird watching and singing along to the soundtrack of West Side Story.
