David Cleghorn brings 9 years of affordable housing experience to Diamond & Associates. Prior to joining Diamond & Associates, Mr. Cleghorn worked for 6 years in the Philadelphia community development world, first at Project H.O.M.E. and later at New Kensington CDC. While at Project H.O.M.E. Mr. Cleghorn was the project manager for the homeownership program that renovated and sold houses to low income families. At New Kensington CDC Mr. Cleghorn was the Real Estate Development Director overseeing all production of affordable housing including Low Income Housing Tax Credits, mixed use and homeownership opportunities.
Since joining Diamond & Associates Mr. Cleghorn has been involved in the planning, development/rehabilitation, funding and closing of over 600 units of affordable housing financed through 4% and 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits, HUD 202/8 program and local municipal funding sources.
Mr. Cleghorn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology/Anthropology from Earlham College and a Masters of Public Administration from the Wagner School of Public Service at New York University. Mr. Cleghorn has varied interests that include camping, hiking, sports and spending time with his wife, three young children and their two dogs and cat. The Cleghorn’s reside in the Overbrook Farms section of Philadelphia.
